yesterday I saw this on my way to work and then again at the end of the day when I went home: On the earth next to the sidewalk there was a dead squirrel. But here's the creepy part: It was sprawled spread-eagle on its belly. There was a small piece of white cotton knit over it like a blanket. There was a small stick about 6 inches tall in the ground at its head. There was a cracker with cheese and a little tupperware bowl of water next to it. It was all gone this morning, except for the stick.
I actually felt quite disturbed each time I passed it. I'm not sure why it should affect me so strongly, but I definitely felt quite creeped out for at least a good 3 blocks after that. It was really strange.
