where's the inspiration?

well, apparently this is my forum for complaints lately...

I was looking at Time.com's top ten trends of Milan Fashion Week. Most of them come directly and admittedly from the 80s. These are the world's top fashion producers; not even they can do better than vamp up the 80s? They don't even try to make it look not like the 80s. I don't get it. It's made me lose respect for the world's fashion designers. I will respect someone who comes up with things that are truly unique and beautiful and interesting, but not someone who tries to repolish something that was already done, especially when it's still done badly!!

I will give a nod to the ones who promoted natural looks (no makeup) on models. And I will hope a day comes when designers can create clothing that is beautiful and innovative.

anyway, what do I care since I don't care about being fashionable? well, it still affects the repertoire of clothing I get to choose from in all the regular stores. so I care!
