Let's all turn off our lights for EARTH HOUR!!
It's this Saturday from 8:30 PM - 9:30 PM your local time. You just turn off all your lights, power down your computers, unplug your curling irons...

Fancy places like the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the Sphinx and Great Pyramids of Giza, along with lots of other notable locations will be flipping the switch for earth hour.

Chris and I did this last Saturday. We had a few candles lit. I actually fell asleep a little after 9. Yesterday (Friday) I was talking with one of the 6th grade girls. She and her family were at a resort in Mexico and suddenly the lights all went off. They had been watching a concert. They had no idea what was going on. No one explained until the hour was over. Her parents were worried because they had a flight the next day and the passports were in a safe (closed electrically). Interesting, eh? I thought so.
