best vacation EVER

where did you go? oh, just Utah.
that's usually how it starts.
just Utah?
then they want to know why it's just utah and add something like I've never been there. or I love Utah. or what a neat place.
I guess since I am a lifelong Mormon and Utah is the epicenter of mormondom and (although I love my mormondom) I don't have dreams of up and moving to utah where there is such a plethora of us... I guess because that's what first comes to mind for me I tend to dismiss utah as a destination vacation.
BUT, utah is pretty cool actually. It has some great nature going on. I loved our family vacation that included southern utah when I was a kid, and I loved this vacation there.
This time around, I got to be a bum with my favorite bum and our adventures included setting up camp on a windy night (I almost flew away with the tent-the picture doesn't do it justice), playing in goblin valley, hiking some little wild horse narrows, taking a joyride to norcal and starting a new habit of eating a lot of desserts for breakfast. in bed sometimes.
